Memorial Day 2011

I hope your not just sitting there, stuffing your face with BBQ all day thinking, "Man, its so nice to have a day off." You better not just disregard this day as just another day you don't have to go to work. I'll come right over and smack you. You best at least remember why you are able to sit there and eat whatever the dern well please you want. Your freedom was not free. You don't know what freedom is until it's taken away. I hope we never have to know what thats like. So please remember those who gave you your freedom and thank them, everyday. (i snaggled these pictures from google shmoogle).
Got this pic from here.

Don't forget the 4 legged soldiers too!

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. Service Members who died while in the military service. First enacted by an organization of Union veterans — the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) — to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War. It was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars.
